The Mission of Red Door is to spend our lives bringing a glimpse of Heaven to Earth. This mission comes from the Lord’s Prayer
‘Our Father In Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Name,
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Will Be Done
On Earth As It Is In Heaven.
Matthew 6:9-10

If this is what Jesus told us to pray about, then maybe this is what we should be about. As we start to listen to this prayer, and pray this prayer, and live this prayer, we discover it moves in a direction none of us ever expected. The prayer does not move from earth to heaven. The prayer moves from

This is not a prayer of escape, but a prayer of restoration. It is not a prayer of a people waiting to go somewhere, but a prayer of a people on a mission to see heaven come here. It is the prayer of a people longing for God to restore the good creation He originally made. It is the prayer of a people longing to be restored themselves and to see this brokeness made whole again. In other words…

So now the question comes, how does Heaven come to Earth? We must read the second part of the prayer
Give Us Today Our Daily Bread.
Forgive Us Our Debts,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Debtors.
And Lead Us Not Into Temptation,
But Deliver Us From Evil.
Matthew 6:11-13
It is a truth that is almost unbelieveable… except that it is true. Heaven comes to earth in us, and then moves through us.
The Apostle Paul would write it this way…
Therefore, If Anyone Is In Christ, He Is A New Creation. The Old Has Passed Away; Behold, The New Has Come. All This Is From God, Who Through Christ Reconciled Us To Himself And Gave Us The Ministry Of Reconciliation; That Is, In Christ God Was Reconciling The World To Himself, Not Counting Their Trespasses Against Them, And Entrusting To Us The Message Of Reconciliation. Therefore, We Are Ambassadors For Christ, God Making His Appeal Through Us.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20

God is making his appeal through us. Our mission is to see God and creation, heaven and earth, brought back together as one. The end of the story is literally heaven coming down to earth and all things being made new. So now we live in anticipation of the day when Jesus will return and make all things new. So we invite you to join us in spending your life painting pictures of God’s future for all to see.

And I Saw The Holy City, New Jerusalem, Coming Down Out Of Heaven From God, Prepared As A Bride Adorned For Her Husband. And I Heard A Loud Voice From The Throne Saying, “Behold, The Dwelling Place Of God Is With Man. He Will Dwell With Them, And They Will Be His People, And God Himself Will Be With Them As Their God. He Will Wipe Away Every Tear From Their Eyes, And Death Shall Be No More, Neither Shall There Be Mourning, Nor Crying, Nor Pain Anymore, For The Former Things Have Passed Away.” And He Who Was Seated On The Throne Said, “Behold, I Am Making All Things New.”
Revelation 21:2-5
